At the Core of the Project: The SARA-31 Study in Asia
At the heart of this collaboration is the launch of an international Phase 3 clinical study, named SARA-31.
Objectives of SARA-31
- Obtain conditional Marketing Authorization (MA) for BIO101 in sarcopenia
- Submit Marketing Authorization applications in Asia and Europe
- Validate the efficacy and safety of BIO101 in an international population of patients with sarcopenia
This study represents a crucial step toward broadening access to this innovative treatment for older adults suffering from progressive muscle loss.

Why Sarcopenia ?
Sarcopenia, the progressive loss of muscle mass and function associated with aging, represents a major public health challenge in Asia, where demographic aging is accelerating. BIO101 aims to provide a first innovative therapy for this disease, for which no approved treatment currently exists.
